Nou, ja, de titel is eigenlijk een beetje misleidend. Want uiteindelijk is Whiskysamples.eu nooit weggeweest.
Een klein jaar geleden lieten we u kennis maken met deze service van ex-Malt Mania Luc Timmermans. Velen, waaronder Whivie, maakten hiervan veelvuldig gebruik. Er ging dan ook een kleine schokgolf door het whiskylandschap, toen Luc onlangs aankondigde met de service te willen stoppen (zie ook ons bericht in de WhivieNewsletter van 6 december). Ook op Facebook was de teneur één van spijt omwille van het nakende verdwijnen van deze unieke service.
Maar er is zeer goed nieuws voor de samplers onder ons! Hieronder plaats ik graag het persbericht van The Bonding Dram, in primeur, heet van de naald!
The Bonding Dram takes over Whiskysamples.eu
As of December 25th Belgium’s online whisky retailer www.thebondingdram.eu has taken over your favorite source of whiskysamples.
The man behind The Bonding Dram, Jeroen Moernaut wants to make the following statement:
“My first aim as the new owner is to maintain the high level of service you’re used to. In the next weeks you can expect a wide array of new releases and old gems. Especially in the first days we’ll work very hard to fill the site with exiting bottles. We’ll also continue to offer the finest stock from previous owner Luc Timmermans’ cellar. I look forward to this new challenge and will give 100% to source you the best samples around “
